Reconnecting with people over this holday break has brought up the questions:
When are you leaving?
What do you have lined up in LA?
Do you have a place to stay?
In case anyone happens to be reading this blog, here are the answers!
I’m leaving on January 23rd, driving out there with my dad and girlfriend.
I will be working as an unpaid intern for Ridley Scott and Associates, starting January 28th. It will go until May or so.
Afterward, I will be (so far) freelancing as a Camera Assistant/Director of Photography. Specifically, I’m looking into being a RED DIT, where I basically handle the data flow on set from the new hot item, the RED camera. I’ve been training on it at the Film School quite a bit (as well as on a few films), and I have a good handle on it:

I will be living in the Hollywood area if I have anything to do with it, but no, I don’t have a place lined up. Well, I kind of do. It looks a lot like this:

As soon as humanly possible, though, I will be moving into a house with 4 other Film School alums: Evan Harbuck, Colin Duffy, Justin Lazernik, and Charles Ingram.
That’s the idea, anyway.
